By now, many of you are familiar with Flight From Fear, the Holocaust memoir which I had ghostwritten for Rabbi Samuel Cywiak. What you may not know is that at age 91, Rabbi Cywiak is finally retiring from his role of Principal Rabbi of Sons of Israel Synagogue in St. Augustine, FL at the end of May. Financially, this is going to be a difficult change for Rabbi Cywiak and his family. It’s sad that such a brilliant spiritual leader has had to work so late in his life just to make ends meet. Some very good people are organizing fundraisers to help the Cywiaks with this challenging transition. The details of the first event organized by Dr. Roger J. Geronimo are listed below. Please come out and support this cause, and help to give back to a man who has given selflessly to so many people for well over sixty years as a rabbi, mohel, cantor, and chaplain.
Please feel free to share this link and/or information with as many people as possible. Thanks!
